I plan on occasionally putting book reviews on the site. I’m doing this both for my own personal edification as well as for those who would read my blog. I am also doing this to provide an avenue to make recommendations and provide cautionary critiques to those who attend Good Shepherd Community Church.
Some of the books to be reviewed will by highly specialized and relevant to my dissertation research. Others will be books that are written on a popular level. I am also on the blogger reviewer program for Thomas Nelson Publishers. I will be providing online reviews for selected books from them and in return, I get the books for free. The reviews will involve a brief summary of the content and a fair and reasoned critique of both literary elements (primarily for fiction) and the content.
